I hosted an Entrepreneur Idea Exchange in January and had the opportunity to brainstorm and share tips for success with some amazing women entrepreneurs, There were some great takeaways from the event but these were the top three:
1. Let go of your fear! Make 2015 your year and don't be afraid of hearing "no."- Too often we associate the word "no" with rejection and failure. If we're told "no" we allow it to destroy our self-esteem and we question our abilities. Think of it this way: No is not a rejection, but God's redirection. That opportunity wasn't meant for you but you have to believe something better is on the horizon. So, don't be afraid to put yourself out there and end up missing out on your "YES"!
2. Get a good support system in place to hold you accountable.- Find friends, family, mentors or business besties that will hold you accountable. People that are looking forward to your next release or product, people that will encourage you to finish what you start and people who will share how awesome you are with others.
3. Consider the seasons of your business and have a contingency plan for when business is slow.- Wealthy people all have one thing in common: they don't put all their eggs in one basket. Find a way to diversify and find multiple streams of income, so that when one leg of your business is not doing well you still have money coming in.
