I am an avid reader. That's actually an understatement. I am a voracious reader. I devour stories, words and anecdotes. I think one of the secrets of being a good writer is reading. . .a lot. I have no favorite genre or favorite author for that matter. If the story makes me feel something or challenges what I thought I knew. . .then it's time & money well spent. I'm currently reading Me Before You by Jojo Moyes. My feelings are all over the place because I can see the writing on the wall with the ending. But I respect the author and like I said, I'm feeling something- having an experience- so regardless to what I think should happen, it's still an entertaining and well written book. The title kind of gives away the basis of the relationship in the book. It's a story of love, self discovery, loss and self love. At the beginning of the year I read, Never Eat Alone by Keith Ferrazzi. This one is a must read for entrepreneurs. A great resource guide about networking and building relationships. One of the things Ferrazzi says in the book that I find to be true: "Poverty, I realized wasn't only a lack of financial resources; it was isolation from the kind of people who could help you make more of yourself." My translation: Sometimes success is about WHO you know! You've got to not only get outside your comfort zone but outside your circle to gain access to resources that can take you to the next level! Other titles on my 2015 reading list: What are some of your favorite books?

“I would advise anyone who aspires to a writing career that before developing his talent he would be wise to develop a thick hide.”
